Neither. I'd buy a new inexpensive computer. If you watch the sales, you can buy an eMachine desktop for about $300 after rebates. It will include a DVD burner, Windows XP, a 120 GB hard drive, a network connection, and USB 2.0 ports. I think that would be a better choice and it will run rings around your Windows 98 box.
