Listen, I'm not a smart person either, but first you can always learn by asking questions & second when people are arguing over politics,religion etc its great not to be involved. Ive found the best way after asking questions is just to listen to what others say, I've learned alot by doing that.

Try reading. Read the newspaper. Expand your life experiences. Not everyone is book smart. But we all have things that we know about and are good at. Find your strengths and forget about labels like smart, retarded or stupid.
