I think it is rather likely there will be a black president sometime during the 21st Century. There are several well-qualified potential candidates now but I don't see most of them seeking the office.

How do you know there will never be a black president? People have said forever that there was never going to be a woman president, but Hilary Clinton is running in 2008, and many more women will run in the future I'm sure. And where do you get your statistics that blacks are a majority?

Eventually, I just don't know when.
We elected many Black officials on the State and City levels (Mayors, etc.), which is a small version of building up to tearing down those walls of racism. Of course Congress has Black representation too. I always have to look back at how bad things were and far many people have come as a result of not giving up freedoms in any form and fighting for them legitimately.

1) I don't see a black majority in the future. Hispanic maybe but not black.
2) I do see a black president in our future, but I won't try to guess when.

It is not your skin color that makes a person a good president. I mean Bush is white and look at the mess he has put us in. It is what is inside that counts, not the shade on the outside. I think a rich man should not run be allowed to run for office.

I for one would not vote for any president based on the color of his skin! It is the QUALIFICATIONS that matter... So far, no minority leader has stepped up to the plate with sufficient qualifications to run this country.
