Atheists are "anti-theist". It doesn't mean they don't believe in God. Religion has been driving governments to war for as long as men have controlled religion.
Thomas Jefferson said; "Say nothing of my religion. That is known to my God and myself alone. It's evidence before the world should be sought in my life. If that has been honest and dutiful to society, the religion which has regulated it could not have been a bad one"
He was a chrisitan, but believed in the right to believe freely without prosecution. He saw the problem with theism becoming sectarianism, and ensured the US Constitution and Bill of Rights enabled us to believe without answering to anybody. Thats why they called himand atheist. He believed in the morals of Jesus Christ, and saw his wisdom, but kept that to himself primarily until he died, then left an explanation of his beliefs to his family in his will, as he had promised them.
I'm and atheist, not a communist, not a democrat, not a republican, but an American descended from people who settled here 100 years before the American Revolution. Jefferson also obligated all citizens to revolt against corrupt government. My way is to tell the truth to anyone who will listen.

Atheists, arguably, may make up any political or social party. I've known several Dems, Republicans, Libertarians, and Greens who've renounced the existence of a higher being, but continue to live out meaningful lives. Not sure what you're really driving at.

I don't know anyone who belongs to the Communist party. Except for Gus Hall and Angela Davis, I don't know of any Communists in America.

But I know lots of athiests. They don't believe in God. That's their business, not mine and they are cops, soldiers, teachers, moms and dads.

Atheists don't believe in god(s). There is no political affiliation involved. Most are probably more liberal than conservative.

they have nothing to do with each other
communism saw how religion oppresses people and saw the damage it did many countries. in the latter communist countries religion wasn't suppressed, it was supported along with palmistry, tarot card reading and other superstitions

have you noticed that people who belive in god are happy to blow other people up and kill themselves because god told them it was ok?

Many of the atheists I know are libertarian. You can't get much further away from communism than that.
