I had my navel pierced in september.

i changed it to a dangling jewellery just now.

Now im wondering if its ok to change it to something dangling. Im worried it might weight it down, applying pressure on the top hole, thus causing it to reject.

You really shouldn't change your belly button jewelry yet. This particular piercing can take any where from 6 mos to a year to fully recover. Otherwise you may get infections.

I would put your original piece back in for a while longer, then you can wear the pretty dangly stuff.

defiantly too early to change the jewelry...like the other girl said belly button piercings take up to a year to fully heal. i would wait at least a few more months before you change it. i've had mine pierced for almost 6 years and still have the same jewelry in.
if you have any doubts go to the shop you had it done in and they should be able to answer any questions you may have and they should also be able to sterilize your jewelry.

just make sure it doesn't get caught on anything. belly buttons get infected really easily.
