I have 2 of them I am wanting to get rid of and I am questioning whether or not to sell them now for $800-$1000 on ebay or wait till the last week or 2 before the holiday and see if they skyrocket back up to $1500-$3000.
I have been to 15 different retail stores in the last week and most people told me that Sony issued a statement that whatever Playstation 3's are out now are all that's being shipped until late February, early March, and two stores told me the date Feb. 20th, to be exact. The long wait for restocking is due to early defects in the first batch of PS3's, like overheating issues.
I think the price will rise if there is no more restocks before xmas, but im not for sure. What would you do?

Some friends have told me that from previous experiences the closer to Christmas you wait the more money you will make! i hope so as I have one that I'm holding onto for a few more weeks. By the way, I was at Target on Friday and the guy there said that they had already gotten a second shipment in. It was half the number that the store had received on the first shipment. But if it is true that there are no more PS3's available, then prices should go up to close to pre-sale levels. People were willing to pay top dollar for pre-sales because they didn't know what to expect, and now that ebay is saturated with ps3's everyone is going to buy one except the procrastinators, who are going to end up paying more, just remember there are only so many people willing to pay top dollar and also only so many people willing to sell the #1 game of Christmas 06, so as numbers of ps3's shrink, people will get desperate and the price will rise!!!!!! We hope!

Sony only released 400,000 PS3s in the US, the prices are going to keep inclining until AFTER christmas. After christmas, PS3s will be everywhere at amny stores, right now would be a HUGE waste of money to buy one on ebay. those people just want your money. TRUST ME wait till after december, prices will drop big time and there will be enough to go around for everyone.

it would circulate down. the provision is extremely short be attentive to so persons are paying something. as they get greater structures the cost will fall. with a bit of luck around christmas adequate of them get out which you will no longer could motel to ebay.

as long as goobs with more money then brains keeps bidding on them .. they'll keep going up... i say boycott ebay on the ps3 and make all the ding dongs who bought more than one sit there and eat it!!
