Dove at those events are trained to return to lofts by the companies that rent out the doves. They can fly up to 300 miles to find home according to the second company. That's really interesting and incredibly impressive. If I got dropped off 300 miles from home...well, I wouldn't get home anytime soon.

I opperate a white poultry launch. I and others use white racing homers. maximum have birds that come domicile from as much as 50 miles. i take advantage of an identical birds that I race in competitions. they'll fly domicile from as much as six hundred miles. a superb businees would have birds that come domicile with the intention to no longer lose the birds that make up the employer. there is not any such factor as a homing dove. There are white domesticated doves. those are call white ringneck dove.

most of them are actually white pigeons trained to fly home to the trainer.
wedding planners discourage the use of actual doves as it can be cruel and environmentally dangerous to release them in an area that they are not native to or unfamiliar with.

they actually fly back to their cages , believe it or not. People train them for such spectacles.

depends on if they have been trained. if they have been trained they will return home.
