I'm not to hip to either of them. I've not played Killer Bunnies, but Munchkin is basically a simplified role-playing game with a lot of Dungeons and Dragons jokes -- funny for those who have played D&D, and not so funny for those who have not. The critical problem is that the cards are funny with 1-2 plays, and then the jokes get tired thereafter.

If I could suggest a couple of different games that might go over better.

1) Ticket to Ride -- Available at various stores, including some Toys R Us -- A great game where players are connecting cities by collecting and playing cards of the train colors of that route. Can be either a friendly game where everyone is working toward their individual goals, or a cutthoat game where players are especially seeking to wreck each other's plans. Won the Game of the Year award in 2004. Always loved by anyone with which I've played it. 2-5 players.

2) Settlers of Catan -- widely available (Barnes & Noble at least) -- Great game of development. Players are collecting resources and using them to build their settlements and cities. Additionally, there is a nice negotiation element where players can trade resources. Game of the year in 1995. 3-4 players.

3) Lost Cities -- available at various stores -- A great game for just two (though it can be played as a partnership game if you incorporate some cards from an additional set) Players are explorers who are building expeditions to five locations. Basically it's a card game, but there is a lot of tension as players are building points in their expedition, but if they don't meet a minimum requirement, then that player loses points instead of gaining them.
