Would he automatically be given citizenship, if so, which country would he accept if he had to choose?

He's an American citizen because he was adopted, and probably on paper shows up as the biological son of the Clarks.

Yes he's a alien, but he was adopted by earthian parents, so he has citizenship, I think. Anyway, no one would believe that he is a real alien and even if they did find out (in the story) the government would want to perform experiments on him, not deport him.

Well since he was adopted, then there must be legal papers already making him a citizen. But even if he didn't have citizenship I'm sure they would make an exception for his case.

Well i would say so,But all the good he dose in the movies who cares, and i all so would say every one would want hem to call there country home ,But sens the girl he likes is in the USA i think he would call the USA home.

i have never thought of it like that before but i think he should be an illegal alien.
Don't you need ID, passport, legal documents, birth certificates, visa, work permits and such.
As clark Kent i am sure he is breaking ever law there is.
He has entered America illegally and is living and working illegally.

as far as comics go, in the post-crisis DC universe superman was born on earth... his kryptonian parents sent him here as more or less a test-tube baby, and he was actually 'born' here... so that makes him an american citizen...
