This time of year snakes tend to have a sudden loss of appetite due to hibernation. Their metabolism slows down dramatically. Mine hasn't eaten in over a month, but he does this every year around this time. It will eat eventually. Wait another week or two then try feeding him. Don't freak out, snakes can go for a LONG time without food. It might also be getting ready to shed. You don't need to take it to the vet. It is natural for snakes. I tryed to find a good website to back up my information but couldn't. Maybe you will have better luck yourself; just go to Ask.com or Google.com and type in something like: "boa hibernation"

it really is going to be that he surely isn't hungry perfect now. My previous snake would kill the rat in a count number form of minutes yet then would bypass away it in a unmarried day and devour it next day. If the snake does no longer devour in 2-3 days. Feed him a smaller mouse, if he in spite of the actuality that does no longer devour, take him to a vet.

Keep in mind that some periods of anorexia (appetite loss) are natural for many snakes especially just prior to shedding, during the hibernation of winter rest period or during breeding season.

I had a trantula and she ate mice at first then suddenly she stopped and wouldnt ever eat one anymore so we tried feeding grasshoppers she wouldnt eat those we tried these worm things or something like that....that wouldnt work either then we tried flies she liked those and ate them for the rest of her life. So just try different foods sometimes they get bored just like people, I mean havent you ever just became tottally disgusted with a food because you had ate it to often.
