This herb benefits post-menopausal women, with low levels of Estrogen, which can cause thinning of the hair in women. This herb somehow acts like a replacement for estrogen, helping with this unfortunate/embarrassing side effect. There was a write-up for this herb in the Womens World paper/magazine.
