Can you suggest me a small business that i can do along with my present job and earn little bit more.?

Question

I live in india. And free time during weekends, Sat, Sun also I can give 2 hrs daily on the net. Can your suggestion regarding earning from the internet be helpful for an indian also opearting from India?

This is elaborating my earlier question.

You can earn through Google Adsense program.You can make good amount of money. for the same you need to register with google a simple online registration. and google will post adds in your site for free of cost. and you will earn money from every clicks in your site..

One of the first things I would recommend that you do is start thinking about your interests/passions... and go into an internet business that is based on that. Why? Because it makes the work a lot easier.

Answering the following questions should help you develop ideas:

1) what websites do you visit when you're just surfing online?
2) do you have pets?
3) do you play and sports?
4) do you collect anythings?
5) do you have any specialized education?

See what I mean....

After that,you've got to decide the business model that you want to use - do you want to develop you own product or do you want to be an affiliate marketer (market other peoples products)?

Then you've got to learn basic skills such as building and uploading websites, setting up autoresponders, setting up a merchant account to take orders, etc.

And then, probably the most important part... you have got to learn how to market you business.

My brother used to pay me to clean his room which was pretty funny because I didn't clean my own! I would make potholders on those small looms (metal back then, plastic now) and go door to door selling them. I'd pick up sticks so my Dad could mow. Scrub pots and pans after dinner. I got an allowance so a lot of times each individual job came under the allowance umbrella. When my Dad's business failed (I was about 16) I didn't know the particulars but I knew things were bad and on my own I stopped taking my allowance. My older sister would then slip me a few bucks here and there. And, from 13 or 14 until I was 17 I baby sat nearly every weekend.

You can make a survey within your vicinity as to what their preferences are. Like putting up a sari-sari store (mini store). Then observe what the people in your vicinity buy on a daily or a weekly basis. And from those observations, you will be able to know the kinds of stuff you will sell.
Also, beside that store, set up a mini internet cafe with at least 8 or 10 computers. I am sure, you will be able to prosper.

Tough call since many companies here are closed at the office level on S/S. India has 10 official languages. Depending on your fluency, advertising for translation services might go. Check for your leading exporters and who rec's the imports. Charity work of education pays very well emotionally and create connections.
There is also the reverse of helping Indian companies needing people who are fluen in English for translation.
Finally, sites like Angela Hoy identify tech. writer positions. You may be able to catch on for India to US or visa versa.
