why no sanctions ?

They do manage with their strong lobbying in the U.S.A. coupled with their financial independence and combined with the strong and well paid marketing on that dreadful Holocaust during WWII. Many people were slaughtered at times in human history but how many of them were repeatedly brought into light through Hollywood blockbusters?

This is the question the Arab countries particularly Palestine, Lebanon, Syria etc have been asking for 40 years.
The fact is on every UN resolution the USA vetoes it.
The Syrian Minister Mrs. Shaban with a degree in English literature from Warwick University UK, asked are UN sanctions only for the Arabs to comply with.
The fact is their are resolutions standing on the books of the UN for 40 years against Israel that have not been enacted or sanctions placed.
The main UN resolution was that Israel should withdraw to the 1948 border then another that they should go back to the 1967 border all were vetoed by the USA.
The Israelis with the USA have stolen Arab land with USA weapons and political support.
But time is running out for Israel and the USA, the world at last is seeing the big lie and those countries for what they really are.
The Arabs are correct it is "dual standards"

Because the only country in the UN with enough backbone to hold up any UN resolution is evidently the USA, so only the resolutions that the USA likes are acted on. The USA does not see a good enough reason to sanction the most stable government with the most freedoms in the Middle East,unlike the UN, so it does nothing when Israel breaks UN resolutions.

Nothing done when Israel does not comply with UN resolutions because its sanction will be vetoed by US as a loyal Israel's comrade..

What UN sanctions haven't they complied with? Saddam Hussein defied 17 UN resolutions over a 14 month period before he was finally attacked by us. And people say that Bush rushed into war. Check your facts before you come on here with ludicrous questions!

Actually, USA is son of Israel. Alot of people in power there have mis-guided allegiance to Israel due to their roots - much like the way that 'Irish' New Yorkers funding the IRA terrorists.
I hope something is done soon as it is the root of many of the worlds' current problems.

i imagine Israel is tremendous. i do not provide a **** about UN resolutions, the total UN employer isn't something then one massive compromise with the help of countries who shop replacing their minds. would not advise a ingredient to me.

Uhm... Maybe because even the corrupt U.N. realizes it has no authority to tell a country's government when it can and cannot defend itself against terrorism? Let's get some sanctions against Iran, Pakistan, and Syria before we start targeting democracies and allies, shall we?
