Of course they can be and are discussed, but only in a free and democratic country.

You can discuss them in your courses, ask your teacher (history), or social studies, I am sure you can do a paper on it.
The fact is though I know the Assyrians are not gone because I know many here in the states, and Armenians and my goodness there are several million greeks here. And greece is a strong country. They are in Canada as well with many businesses. In America there are a lot of mixed marriages as well, and there is no such thing as genocides, Cher is a mix of Armenian blood and American Native, Armenians are mixed with the Irish, British, because I know a few, and the Assyrian churches here are very strong and live nicely. They still have their own country. Armenia does too. One thing about America you cant keep a good man down for long.

Even though genocides are a horrible thing, there is no way to teach about all of them (especially in a high school class). I mean, the Armenian genocide should be discussed, and in a college level course, especially focusing on that time period these should be discussed (and I think they are), but to cover every single genocide is redundant and at some point takes away from the importance of the concept of genocide as a whole.

Of course they can be taught, if people are willing to do so. We should be careful with the term genocide though. Victims are prone to call a massacre genocide, but when is a massacre genocide? Is it a matter of percentages of the total population? Or is it a matter of feeling?
Was the flooding of the earth, with only Noah and his family and a few animals escaping, genocide? I would think so. And I think this should cause Jews, Christians and Muslims to meditate on the fact that they adore a God who sees no objection at all to genocide for political reasons.
The same goes for Sodom and Gomorrah, where people didn't care about God's commands and got sulfur on their heads from that same God.
But Srebrenica, was that genocide of a massacre. The Americans killing the Indians, was that genocide or a massacre?
I suppose when you ask Bosnians of Red Indians they would say genocide. When you ask Serbs or White Americans they would say massacre.

These events have a direct relation to what is happening in the world today and will happen in the future. No one likes to deal with the harsh realities of Islam, the religion of peace, but maybe we ought to bring it more to light. Most people who speak of peace don't want it to come through genocide, when everyone different is exterminated the single remaining entity has peace? Not our favorite definition...
Thank you for your question and the link.

we dont "communicate and communicate" approximately genocides. why might we communicate approximately sth not rather worth talking? " Muslims are actually not genuine turks, they are actually not something, in actuality muslims are below subhuman..." wow! what you talking approximately? in the journey that your factor is that non secular muslims in turkey are certainly kurdish and arabic, and turks are extremely nonreligious it rather is okay, yet what the hell muslims are below subhuman? there are some christians, jews, budhists and atheists who're of course below subhuman!! i recognize two armo creatures, one million greek whale working example, they have none of human manners haha nicely that team is basically too great to categorise and make generalization. or examine with "too non secular and uneducated muslims" i think of i'm nonetheless a muslim even i think like i'm a deist each so often and that feels like an insult. pfff!

Sometimes you have to take responsibility for your own education and not wait for someone to spoon feed you history. If something you have learned on your own seems relevant to a open discussion in class make your point based on what you have read and analysed on your own. No one will object.
