I guess it depends upon whose apples. If they were your apples, then you have 6 apples, unless you ate the 2 you took. You just have 2 apples in one place and 4 apples in another.
Now, if those apples belonged to a big mean guy, then you probably don't have any apples, just a knot on your head for taking his apples.

um 4? you would have 4 apples. maybe 2 in one place and four in another... or maybe you left the four apples on let's say the table and walked away with 2 apples, then in hand you would have 2....
