Yes, buying a copy of Windows XP Home or Pro should work, but before you do that, make sure there isn't a recovery partition already on the hard drive. This is fairly common for most PC makers these days, and makes recovery slightly more convenient because it contains a hidden partition containing Window's setup files.
When you turn on the computer (if you have a recovery partition) you will see a "press F11 (or F something) to enter the recovery console" You should also see a prompt to enter the Bios Setup, which is usually F1. If you come to detirmine there is no recovery partition on the hard drive, then you can try out a password cracker if your adventurous. Google it for a while and see what you can come up with. I have used one in the past to get the login password for a used laptop I bought. It worked like a charm and I was able to copy all the previous owner's important files to a disc for him. If all else fails you can get a copy of XP home for about 70 Bucks US.

When you are ready to buy a new system, go to www.stupidcheapcomputers.net. I buy all of my stuff from them, and everything is Vista ready.
Microsoft is about to release its latest operating system, Vista, in January. It’s going to make all of these “bargain” computers nothing but JUNK as soon as it’s released. The reason that you are seeing so many cheap systems on the market right now is because a lot of them CAN’T RUN Vista and the merchants are trying to dump them as hard and fast as they can before Vista shows up and everyone learns what a piece of crap they were sold for $500 (or whatever).
Anyway, I bought a complete, new system from stupidcheapcomputers.net with a warranty for LESS than it would cost me to build it myself or order a custom one from the manufacturer. You can use my frequent buyer code: ATX926. That will get an additional 10% discount at checkout.
I have NEVER had any problems with anything that they have sold me and their customer service is outstanding. Those guys blow my mind.
Good luck!

if you have problem entering windows, you can easly teformat
that partition and setup your windows.
but if it asks for password when system is going to boot,
1.shutdown your PC
2.Open the case
3.find BackUP Battery on your MotherBoard
4.remove it
5.short the blades in battery socket with a conductive like a
screw driver ( little one ) for 30 seconds
6.replace the battery in it's place
7.turn your computer on
8.when booting press " delete " key and go to bios
9.choose " default settings " or " fail safe settings "
10. press " y "
11.press " F10 " to save and exit

My only guess is to restart the computer and keep pressing the F8. You will then get a black screen with options, choose Start in the Safe Mode. Then once in you should be able to go to control Panel and uninstall those problem programs. WIll it work, I don't know, but try it.

You did not wipe the force, you install one extra reproduction of homestead windows alongside the only which you already had. you want to inform the homestead windows installation application to format the force. in case you %. the 2d one this is going to likely be your previous reproduction of homestead windows.
