Does race really matter? Aren't we all of one race? The HUMAN RACE?

I have nothing against interracial marriages, as long as they are both devoted and faithful to each other, and work hard at making their relationship work. Personally I think it's wrong that people frown upon interracial relationships. Because if 2 people are in love with each other, that's all the matters, not the color of skin.

I have an uncle who married a woman from the Phillipeans, and I have never had any problem with that.

No problem, I think we should be over the color issue by now, white women are cute, black (really not black, maybe chocolate maybe a little fairer) men are loving to be with...but i think this is as far as they are both of the same nationality. If it goes beyiond there we have issues of traditions that are difficult to withold, regardless of how much you love someone, when they bring the tradition, it ruins the marriage.

I don't mind them much. The reason being, all the black men that I've see with white women are usually men that I wouldn't have had an interest in in the first place.

People who say race doesn't matter are lying.

Not in the sense that they are racists or tribalists, but to say that physical racial features are not a part of the attraction equation is a joke. I'm black, and my first white girlfriend told me straight up that along with everything else about me, she was attracted to my skin color and features. Who I "was". As if I was tall or short or any other characteristic. And I felt the same about her. I was physically attracted to her because of her features and other things.

No difference in my book.

Admitting to things like this is the last frontier. Everybody knows if they have particular preferences for a mate. And people shouldn't be afraid to say it.

Race is just another physical characteristic.

My husband is white and im mixed of italian, indian brazilian & black.
(Black & Indian mom and Italian & Brazilian dad)

Races have been mixing forever, many years ago due to ignorance it wasnt considered acceptable but let me tell you, my grandparents got married as teens when it was hard to be accepted but they didnt care - the love was strong.

It doesnt matter what you are race wise but as long as you love the person you are with, you can have an everlasting love.

You need to focus more on common-likes instead of race which is a small piece of the puzzle.

Is race really the issue? People of different races can have more in common depending on their educational levels, family backgrounds, and socioeconomic status. Race is a small piece of the puzzle. If people love each other for who they are then they should be free to enjoy the fruits of each other!

I am a white woman and am married to a man who is half white and half black. I see nothing wrong with it and neither do any of our families. We love each other, are faithful to each other, and are devoted to making our marriage last.....in the end that is the only thing that matters.

I don't believe there are different races. There is only one race, and that is human. Relationships should be about deeper things than the color of skin. Character, values, morals, deeply held beliefs about God, relationships, family, friends, money, careers and other things that pertain to life and our American pursuit of happiness. Culture just makes life interesting, and there are so many cultures to explore, learn from, and adopt into your own. Stereotypes and prejudice only exist because of hatred, ignorance and fear. It isn't color that you should be concerned about, it's the condition of ones heart.
