That's a good possibility, but aren't you discounting the Seahawks. Alexander and Hasselbeck are back and fresh for a playoff run.

Very very plausible. (Eagles fan the following). The Saints lost a huge offensive handle, it rather is gonna damage them plenty. Bears will falter very much and the Seahawks must be genuinely contained. Hasselbeck isn't a particular QB and Alexander isn't the guy he became. The Cowboys have a tremendous D, yet their offense isn't something particular, and all of us is conventional with what occurs at the same time as Tony Romo is contained in the playoffs... If it does come between Eagles and Saints, this is the homestead crew which will win it. To Brendan: The Packers and Niners ought to make the playoffs, in spite of the indisputable fact that the Giants and the Panthers are close to the bottom of the NFC. The Giants are hooorrrrriiibbblllle. undesirable QB, undesirable RB (ought to play Droughns over Jacobs), and a foul D. Panthers have a tremendous D-Line, yet their absolutely offense is Steve Smith (considering they insist on splitting DeAngelo's contains). the most important probability to the Saints and the Eagles, are the Rams. they are going to be the nicely proper practice on turf back. If the protection will win championships, then the Eagles will handily beat the Saints and the Rams...yet those 2 communities each and every have a huge X-component (Jackson and Bush)

I would agree with this assessment.

Lets start with the respective defenses.

For Chicago, their defense is once again at the top of the NFL as far as points allowed, and takeaways, with 34. Opposing teams do tend to run well on the Bears, but they always seem to be able to hold opponents to few red zone touchdowns. While Dallas' defense is no slouch, their secondary is a bit weak, and could be exposed in the playoffs. They do a pretty good job of stopping the run, as evidenced by their showing against Cadillac Williams and Tampa. ADV: BEARS

Offensively, Tony Romo has provided a much needed spark for the Cowboys. His 5 touchdown game against the Bucs was amazing! Terrell Owens is a beast, and Julius Jones and Marion Barber provide quite a running back tandem. Jason Witten is a very solid TE. The Bears have made strides this year offensively, but unless Rex Grossman finds consistency, the Bears won't be able to count on a consistent output week after week. The running game is coming around as of week 12.
ADV: COWBOYS

As far as special teams go, the edge definitely goes to the Bears. Devin Hester has returned 4 kicks (including the field goal) for touchdowns. Robbie Gould has only missed one field goal all year, and that was a block. Brad Maynard is having a career year in terms of punting yardage. With Dallas just releasing Vanderjagt and signing Martin Gramatica, they could be in trouble in the kicking game.

Coaching is a toss up, both Lovie Smith and Bill Parcells are great head coaches.

I say Chicago wins this game, because you must remember, this game will more than likely be played in the Windy City in winter. It will be close, but Chicago's defense pulls through. BEARS 24 COWBOYS 13

Panthers @ Cowboys in the NFC Championship game. I don't trust Rex Grossman, he makes too many bad decisions. Bears lose to the Panthers in the first round again.

With Romo at the helm things have changed in Dallas a totally different team than in the first half of the season and their defense is solid also the way they played against the colts show they have the talent to beat any team in the nfl. The bears man what can you say that defense is amazing. the game against AZ where the defense & special teams came back from a 20 point deficit and scored three TD's in the 4th qtr to topple the cards. all points scored by special teams and defense just awesome. with wr berrian getting back to health the offense we seen in the early part of the year should show back up.

Cowboys will win it if the Bears insist on keeping Grossman.

I don't think that is going to happen somehow. The Bears will not make it I fancy. The Boys will however. As a Giants fan that makes me very unhappy.

Strong possibility. But my Bears would win by plenty! Tony Romo has not seen a defense this good. It would be one long day for him!

If you was to look at my question history and go back to the beginning i predicted this b4 the season started. The bears will be tough but they cant contain our receivers.
