If we have such a big "car culture" and love them so much, why are there only two or three cars that are worth a damn? I am talking the big 2-1/2. There is discontinued for '07 GT and live-axle-havin'-400 pounds-too-heavy-Mustang, the Corvette and z06 (the ONLY contender from the big dog, unless you count the CTS-V, which I kind of like), and the pre-y2k E-Class in a pimp suit, I mean the 300/Charger.

If you pick any other car producing country aside from France, I bet you could come up with more hot cars. What is wrong with us? We used to be a leader in hot cars with a good 3-4 per nameplate, now we can barely muster 4 for the whole country?

American car companies are so last century in vision. Plus consumers don't demand the forward vision they used to, they take what they are given from American auto companies. It's about design, really, and they just don't do it. It's not the worker's fault, they don't design, they build what they are asked to build. Comes down to the boss being an old fart. And caring about the money more than about cars.

relies upon on what you choose out of it. in case you choose trouble-free, person-friendly to maintain, low priced to run transportation, it incredibly is probable no longer too lame. those little vehicles have a quite reliable recognition for reliability and can be bought affordably. I even tend to area with between the previous answerers. it incredibly is purely lame if something deep down interior you needs to have stress with a extensive motor vehicle cost or a extra unique, costly-to-restoration motor vehicle. For person-friendly transportation, the Escort's a enormously good trip-- if no longer precisely one to stir your thoughts or the sentiments of your persons.

Because of a little thing called CAFE (Corprate average fuel economy) If an American car company makes a hot car with low fuel economy it must produce more econo boxes.

Thank your government. I would rather have a fast car then breathable air.
