My 7 year-old twins adored it, but I just felt chilly throughout the whole movie. All that ice & snow...Brrrrrrrrrr.

I'd probably rate it a 7. I think the movie was very cute, and I loved how it promoted conservation.

There were a couple of problems I had with this. First, the clear undertone of religious fanaticism as portrayed by the elder penguins...I mean I get what they're saying, but this is a kids/family movie. I get that people don't care for much religion, but there's a time and place to get into that...and Happy Feet wasn't it. And second, they spent so much time developing all of the backstory from Mumble birth to growth & experiences, yet seemingly put little time into the end. How did he manage to get back into the wild? It's likely that a zoo would have kept a creature like Mumble to make a buck, so what made them release him? They made the journey to the mystical beings seem treacherous, so it's unlikely any other penguin would have ventured that way. So what made Lovelace decide to go there? It was blatantly obvious things like that which made the latter parrt of the movie seem more thrown together than that of a better flow like the first half of the movie.

All in all, I'd still say it was wonderful. It was a good way to teach kids that you can love these animals, but loving them means taking care of the environment they live in. I also love the dedication of the movie at the end of the credits to those who passed away (most notably, Steve Irwin...who voiced Trev the Elephant Seal).
