Ease up on the kid. As long as she isn't asking to do all of her homework, and just asks for help on one or two problems, then I don't see the harm in helping her. That is long as you explain how you came to your answer, instead of just handing her the answer.

Is the 3x the denominator, or is it 2/3 circumstances x? It makes a huge difference! putting parentheses around the fraction would help you save it instantly: (2/3)x y= (2/3)x + 5 y=(2/3)(-a million) + 5 multiply 2/3*-a million it really is -2/3 y = -2/3 + 5 including a -2/3 is an similar as subtracting 2/3 from 5 y = -2/3 + 15/3 = 13/5 = 2 3/5

you add 2 to -2 and 16 and u end up with 2x=18 and then u divde 2 to 2x and 18 and u end up with x=9, kinda hard to explain it over this but im pretty sure its rite

This is the last one I'll answer, luv.
2 x^-2 = 16
x^-2 = 8
A negative exponent means an inverse, so
x^2 = 1/8
x = +/- sqrt(1/8)
Which you should be able to simplify. Remember - you aren't allowed to leave radicals in the denominator.

okay. x^-2=8 right? (because 16 divided by 2=8).
So (x^-2)^2=(8)^2 right? So x=64

1. because of the -square, you have to divide 2x^-2 by the -square root. The -square root of 2x is -1.41x
2. -1.41x=16 divide each side by -1.41
3. -11.35=x
i think that is how
