Funny you should ask this question. My son is battling acne and has been for about three years now. We have tried every single prescription topical ointment and cream out there and nothing has helped. Finally - the dermatologist has convinced me that Acutane is the way to go. At first I was totally against it because I had heard and read that it causes teenagers to have suicidal thoughts. He explained to me that the only reason that came out is because a senators son committed suicide, and instead of accepting that maybe it was bad parenting or something else that caused him to want to kill himself - they blamed it on the fact that he was on Acutane at the time. They have done study after study to find out if in fact Acutane "causes" suicidal thoughts in teenagers and have proven that it does not. My dermatologist said he has actually prescribed Acutane to teenagers who had been diagnosed as being clinically depressed, and after taking Acutane and getting rid of the acne - they regained self esteem and the signs of depression went away.
Our dermatologist even showed me medical proof that Acutane is safe to take.
He convinced me - my son is taking it, and it is in fact working miracles. I already see a difference in his personality. He is more social and more willing to actually look at people when he is talking to them instead of looking down or around so that they won't focus on his acne.
Hope this helps.

There are several different oral treatments for acne. The most common are antibiotics; the most effective for severe acne are vitamin-A analogues such as isotretinoin (sold as RoAccutane in the UK, judging from previous answers, maybe Accutane in the US?).
All of these treatments have possible unwanted effects. People most worry about the unwanted effects of isotretinoin (RoAccutane): it can cause (a) minor problems such as very dry skin and lips, (b) slightly more serious problems related to vision or the levels of certain fats in the blood, and (c) serious problems such as hepatitis, pancreatitis, or blood disorders. Most physicians will therefore want to check your blood count, liver function, and fat levels before and during treatment. There have been reports of severe depression related to isotretinoin, but this seems to be a very rare problem. Isotretinoin causes severe growth defects in the developing fetus, so female patients are usually not given the treatment unless they demonstrate that they have adequate contraception arrangements.
The great majority of patients only experience the very minor side effects of skin and mucous membrane dryness. And the evidence is that isotretinoin works very well.
As with any medical question, the best thing to do is talk things over with your doctor and decide what is the best treatment for you as an individual.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

The acne pill you are talking about is Accutane which is for severe acne. It has many side effects. Go to a dermatologist to see if what you have is truly acne or something else.

Sounds sketchy. i'd attempt to get a weed wacker to take down the tall weeds. consistent with hazard you're able to p.c.. some spots to place down straw to soak up the dirt in places and supply the horses a dry spot to stand. notably, confirm there's a place the place the horses have get entry to to scrub water. look on the safeguard and be certain there are no nails protruding. perchance you are able to conceal various the barbed cord up with tape or slitted pool noodles. in specific circumstances you are able to tuck the barbed cord on the different area of the fence. i'd additionally see approximately advertising various the horses to ease the rigidity on the pasture.
