I have an "American accent" I guess, because I was born and raised in Detroit, and now live in Canada. And trust me...when I speak to someone here who doesn't know me, the first thing they say is "You're from the states...HUH?" Canadians do that because they've run into too many Americans that have said "You're Canadian, EH? Where's your beer, EH? Got a tuc, EH?"
I feel for both sides. Being married to a Canadian, I see how frustrating it is for him to join conversations, when he's only going to be ribbed. Living here, I get frustrated just as easily. We all understand what's being said, I just wish people would comment more on the content of what's being said as opposed to how it's said.

I dated a Canadian, and I'm American. Now that you mention it he did say eh, but not really enough for me to notice it. and he pronounced his "o"s "ooo" but there still wasn't that big of a difference in accent. I asked him about American accents he said i just sounded normal.
I'm a yankee so I don't have a southern accent. I find them a little annoying usually, although I have heard some that just sound kinda slow and raspy and are pretty sexy, like this other guy i dated (lol)
ya so... I wouldn't trust stereotypes too much, if someone really likes ya, then u'll sound just fine ♥

I am American and don't think Canadians talk funny I like the accent with the French twist plus I love Canada it is a beautiful country so fresh and green I asked my kids to take me to Quebec for my 50th B-day so here's hoping want to go to the winter ice festival I hate the cold or I would like to live in Canada but the ice festival with all the sculptures etc looks so pretty
and hey don't make fun of our accents either people down south have great accents I could listen to them talk all day

Bobby Bobson, who us? Nahhhh, we would in no way talk approximately your accents, which would be stereotyping, Bobby. particularly we don't stereotype approximately people who stereotype approximately us human beings. geee I extra effective study over that answer, confirm it particularly is impressive, you realize, it particularly is been suggested, by, properly will save that quiet, that we've a low familiar of training. Yep that all and sundry is sensible, i'm going to push the submit key, is that pleased with you Bobby?

I'm not sure. I don't think y'all talk funny. Everyone I know says I talk funny and I'm from the US. I'm not even from the south. I say y'all, worsh instead of wash, and thang instead of thing. I think everyone talks different.
