Blue Cross is the best health insurance by far. They have a dozen different plans, ranging from seeing any doctor you choose or a PPO network. Most doctors are participants in the PPO plan, simply because Blue Cross has been the standard for decades. Premiums are about $300 a month for a single person. It may seem high, but I never have to pay anything out of pocket, unless it's for a prescription.
You're a veteran. You should be entitled to go to the V.A. for any health problems you might have, but it's easy to understand why you may not want to depend on them.

It all depends on what you want for a deductible and what benefits you want. Some plans offer better dental coverage than others while other might offer better hospital coverage or better coverage for things like hearing aids or glasses etc. There is no best health insurance. You need to talk to an insurance agent and let them help you decide what plan is best for you.
