Quite honestly I am a pagan, therefore I definetly believe in the Law of Three.
That and after this past year I am truely a believer.
Example:
We had the bomb of my husband sleeping with another man's wife *apparently* dropped on us on our 1yr wedding anni
We were evicted from our apartment
We lost a very dear friend
Now to point out good things also happen in threes:
We had the baby, who was healthy
We both got really good jobs
We found a stable living environ.
Its all in how you look at it

I believe this seems true because apparently the human brain needs 3 inputs of info(on average) to create memory.
Also a pattern becomes more apparent at 3.

It's actually a German Proverb and has an equivalent for good luck as well "third time is a charm". Do I believe it's true? My grandmother used to say that you hear of births and deaths in threes... and I've certainly noticed that. *shrugs* Someone needs to do a study on it!

I read some of the responses, and I'd have to agree with a few of them. "Three's" never really refer to GOOD luck, and while deaths-in-the-family/friend loop, tend to happen in three's, it is usually a coincidence. Tho it IS a common phrase in the family
We're all very careful not to say "They come in three's" around Grandma after she turned 90. .

No, what about A pair of socks? Two is one pair. Not three, we only have two feet.
Same with gloves.
Sometimes its true but ALWAYS: NO.

Not true. I think they say that for the victims of coincidences... to make them feel better, to make them feel like hope is around the corner.

Yes I believe it too. I've seen it happen to friends and neighbors and to myself.
