I cant keep my betta at home anymore. I was going to take him to work and put him on my desk. The office gets warm during the day (75) and cool at night (65) is that too great of a difference during that 24 hour span for him? The change occurs over a couple hours, but I dont want to put too much stress on him.

Any ideas? Or should I just try to find him a new home?

I wouldn't risk putting him through a 10 degree temperature change in 24 hours everyday. Tropical fish, especially bettas, need very stable temperatures, and that could easily stress him enough to cause a disease and/or death. But, buying a cheap aquarium heater and a $1 stick on thermometer for a betta aquarium is really inexpensive, and that would allow you to keep him at work without stressing him or worrying you.

i'm sorry, human beings, yet i disagree about making use of a lamp for warmth. you haven't any administration over HOW warm it truly receives the water. Plus, at the same time as the mild is grew to change into off? at the same time as the guy needs to sleep, then the water cools decrease backtrack and it truly is amazingly annoying for the fish. Betta's do choose a heater. no longer only for the heated water yet to save the water at a tender temp. regrettably Betta's are their personal worse enemy in the actual undeniable actuality that they are difficult little adult males. This perpetuates the parable that they love small areas and chilly water. they could live on stated issues..they don't thrive. each and every male needs a minimum of a 2.5 gallon tank, a heater and a tender flowing clear out. flora might want to both be actual or silk. Weekly, partial water transformations are also mandatory. As for weight-help plan, it really is going to be distinct. Too many bloodworms can deliver about bloat or SBD, because it really is a wealthy foodstuff. Betta pellets because the staple area then bloodworms and or brine shrimp as a deal with fairly one or 2 days a week. i also feed some daphnia to assist their digestion. i also quickly once a week. Bettas favor to be fed once an afternoon, pellets 2-3 in straight forward words. Overfeeding a betta can deliver about well-being issues. maximum fish, no longer purely bettas, do not eat the first few days you've them. they're less than pressure from the bypass and not in any respect yet smooth. be constructive and eliminate any uneaten foodstuff.
