It was Dean O'Dell. In the episode, Dean O'Dell reinstated the fraternities after a big college donor threatened to stop donating money. His car was egged by the Lilith House girls.
He hired Keith because he suspected his wife was having an affair, and Veronica told Keith that Mrs O'Dell was having an affair with Professor Landry. He then confronted his wife.
He went back to his office, drunk, and someone started throwing eggs at the window. Weevil found him the next morning with a gunshot wound to the head.
Also, Professor Landry was making kind of a big deal about their "Plan The Perfect Murder" essays near the beginning of the episode.

The principle definitely died, I think one of the students killed him because of letting the Greek Fraternities back on. Mercer was the rapist but he had help from one of the safe riding buddies. The Greek Fraternities had nothing to do with the rapists, their parties were just convenient places for Mercer to pick out his victims. Logan also broke up with Veronica.

Well, from where to gun shot wound was, in the right temple, it looks like suicide.
The Dean of Hearst College, Mr. O;Neil? might have killed himself. Do you think he killed Veronica's crime teacher then himself?
