I'd go with the Lion Sleeps Tonight by the Tokens, and anything from the Jungle book soundtrack. King Louie's, "I Wanna Be like You" is great!

They Might Be Giants have a song called "Welcome to the Jungle" (completely different than the Guns 'n' Roses song of the same name). Also, their song "The Guitar" uses some of the lyrics and melodies from "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".
On one of the Ren & Stimpy albums, there's a song called "I'm Gonna Be A Monkey."
