i graduated from HS early so i'm only 17 and in college. Does college still count as "day school" on my working papers. I have enough free time where only being allowed to work 28 hours a week is extremely inconvenient and i'm hoping i can apply for the permit that will allow me to work 48 hours a week,

I believe working papers are only required for those 16 or under. Your best bet would be to check on the Department of Labor section of your state's official website to verify the age limitation, and also to find out what would be required for extension of the work allowance if it is required.
