I was falsely accused of advertising and Yahoo refuses to give me any details about why they believe I was advertising. I answered a question about the 9/11 conspiracy by stating that there were many videos on it on youtube and I referred to a well known author's site who also had knowledge of it. I thought this was within the rules. Do they think I own youtube? Do they think I wrote a book on conspiracies and was promoting myself? I suppose so, that's why I received the violation.

It's either that, or someone is really mad at you on here and reporting you on every single question you ask. Try to keep on writing them and ask why you can't get an explanation..maybe you will have better luck than I had...lol

I think everyone who's been on yahoo long enough has suffered an unfair violation notice, I have, you have, we pretty much all have. It seems the yahoo answers team has VERY selective enforcement policies. Of course they don't carry forth the enforcement fairly, they seem to pick and choose who gets to say whatever they want, and who doesn't, just a few weeks ago a kid was making death threats, I reported his posts, I was given the violation notice, fair isn't it? I don't report anything now, people can ask how to make a thermo nuclear device and I don't care, it's not worth getting an unfair violation notice.

Yahoo has some strange ideas about who and what is a violation sometimes. I also know there are people here who make it their full time role to report others for so called infractions. So don't fret and don't take it personally, violations are a fact of like in the world of Yahoo Answers.

Thank Yahoo for deleting my account without notice. Their TOS are so vague that they would not hold up in court as a contract. They are too subjective. I suggest setting up a separate email account you do not care about because it will be deleted. Most people who answer political questions have this problem.

No you are not alone, there are many of us who feel we were not in violation but our answer or question was pulled. The first couple times hurt, then you just say "Shi(ou)t not again, oh well."

Oh they give random people random violations for no logical reason all the time. We all get it sooner or later. They will never respond to you. They don't have the time or the people to deal with it all.

No, you're not the only one. It sounds to me like the CT reported you because he didn't like what you had to say... I've been given undeserved violation notices, so don't feel upset. You're not alone.
