No, for personal home use. Why use it? Windows XP has a built in free zip program. Choose the files you want to compress, right click, choose Send To, the first item says Compressed (zipped)Folders, and it's zipped. Best of luck.

That completely depends on you whether you want to use WinZip or Windows delivered zipping S/W.
But if you go for Winzip, you can encrypt your zipped items. And it will ask for password while opening any file from zipped items.
The encrypted items are shown with a small + sign in winzip.
