one that costs around $80?

Hmm..what you say makes sense. I use it for normal house cleaning, and I change the belt and filter regularly. But now when I put new belts in, the vaccuum breaks them in half. It's been 4 years, I guess it's just old?

As with anything machanical--a lot will depend on the operating facors of-----how often it is used---how difficult the work load when it is used--- and how well it is maintained
Under normal working conditions for a vacuum in this price range-- you should be getting from three to five years out of it with normal use and normal maintainance

as long as the motor runs it will work. You have to change the bag, clean the filters and replace the belt when it breaks. Most people have no idea what goes on inside the machine. Long hair and strings can foulf it up also. You have to turn it over and look at it every once and a while. Cleaning ladies are the worst because they think you change the bag and you think they do it, so it doesn't get done.

Depends whether you use it just at home or for business. If you replace the belt when it starts to slip and the bag and clean the hair, string, whatever off the ends of the roller, it should last for many years.

SUCKS DOSEN'T IT. No pun intended. Sounds like the beater bar is binding. If it's not, toss it. An $80 vac is not worth repairing even if you do it yourself.

It is depand upon the uses & area of the use, but if you handled carefully then its lifespan is approx. 5 to 7 years.

Probably six years or less. When you get one, ask it if I can borrow a "pick up" line from it. I'd sure appreciate it!
