i just had my membranes stripped today and what are some things that can help me move things along a little quicker (i am 38 weeks, 1cm dilated, 80% effaced and the baby is in the -1 station.) i know about the walking and the sex...anything else?

nipple stimulation and sex are two very good ways to get things moving.... my dr suggested them for my pregnancies

yeah, nothing really. i had mine stripped like 5 times starting at 37 weeks. last time i had it stripped 5 days before my due date and then i went into labor a few hours later. i did all the walking, sex, blah blah blah but nothing really works, the baby will just come when its ready.

BOWLING!!!! it wokerd for me! use a light ball. and try not to twist to hard. Also just sleeping may also help. Nipple stimulation can get contractions going. also masages are great to calm and relax, and hopelfully help to move things along. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!

Seriously, the BEST thing you can do is to FORGET ABOUT IT. Just relax. The baby will come when the baby is ready and ONLY then.
