Personally, I would go with a Thinkpad R60. I just built one at Lenovo's website with a 1.66ghz core-duo, 1gig ram, SXGA 14 inch screen, 80gig hard drive, 9 cell battery, fingerprint reader, dvd-burner, and 1 year warrenty for $995. A good deal in my opinion. Definitely great notebooks! Spend the 75 bucks extra and get the 1.83ghz core duo.
