There are a lot of people, and whom to be told as the wisest .. The wise men may not be the good people around

Krishnamurti and Inayat Khan are very wise.
Many people would say Mahatma Gandhi.
My favourite writer is Vikram Seth.I think he is very clever but cleverness does not imply wisdom, not always.
And the well-known poet, Rabindranath Tagore...
There is not such thing as 1 wisest man or woman....
