I found a picture of him as a child and some other info here:

Another picture:

And another:

I also found some where he was a bit older and had a less crazy hair style:

Einstein is very real... and his theories are still holding true and revealing more about our world. As for pictures Google Inages is another good source in addition to he ones in the answer above. My favorite is the famous one of him riding a bicycle. Another is him sticking out his tongue; the Wikipedia link below explains the story on that one.

Einstein was very smart but also very human, an exceptionally good person. Our world is much more advanced than it might be because we were blessed to have him on this earth.

My guess is that Einstein "played the role" of the eccentric professor when he was at the Institute of Advanced Studies. He came to the US as a refugee and felt grateful to have a home and a job. His research was basically behind him at that point, so he gave the American public what it wanted-the nutty professor/all purpose genius. His job was more or less to do PR for the institute, so he posed as the unwordly man the public wanted him to be. So his boat, sports car and Saville Row suits weren't what he showed of himself to Life magazine etc. I don't know that if that is being "fake"-he was just doing his job.

So you are saying because he may have had a different hairdo then he would be a total fake. You must've spent a lot of summers in summer school.

I take offense with this question. I do not care how he looked before he got that hairstyle.... How he looked does not matter. Heck Marlyn Monroe said she had the hots for him.... lol
