I have to work on It...
I wanna know If the person smokes,drinks,rape,steal,rob,cheat,do any types of Drugs,and do any types of things that they are not supposed to do.I wanna know If the person Is trustworthy In order for me to believe In them,to trust them...Great question.

I actually was very trusting when I was younger. I hate to use the word naive, but I think I was. Now that I am older (24), I am more wary of people and their motives. I have had too many people talk behind my back or repeat things I didn't want repeated. I constantly work on being able to trust people, including my boyfriend of many years. I hold things back from him and my best friend. They get frustrated that I don't share everything with them. I am working on being more trusting of people close to me...it's a conscious effort, but it is worth it!

I have a very UN-trusting nature. I really have to work at it because I see how my Mom is and I don't want to be that way. She reads deceit into everything, trusting no one and it makes her an unhappy person. She thinks my brother and I are naive for taking people at their word. I see the possible lies and hurtfulness in people but I try to take them at their word unless I have good reason not to. I am cautious. I consider myself a realist, neither optimistic nor pessimistic but one who knows what can happen.

The person you want to trust has to work on it, not you. Trust is something that a person earns. You shouldn't have to make an effort to trust someone. If you have to work at it, then the bottom line is that person is not being very honest/upfront with you.

I've always tried to trust everybody but doing that has come back to bite me many times so now I have to work on trusting

It usually comes easy, but there are some people, I'm not so sure about and it takes me awhile to trust them.

Trusting women comes very easy to me. It takes a while for me to put my guard down for a man.
