Conversations you try to avoid?

Everytime i hear people discussing religion or having politics i try to stay away because they end in an argument most of the time. What conversations do you try to avoid??

i m with you....those two topics really can get out of control...so whenever i hear politics or religion, i just avoid by leaving making up some important work.....

I actually love conversations about politics and religion, because I love to debate and challenge my own thinking. I guess you would say I am argumentative by nature!

But I always avoid conversations where people are bad mouthing someone else. I can't stand hearing that kind of stuff.

I do not avoid online conversations of any kind. In face-to-face I will not discuss religion, politics or salary and in some cases personal possessions.

Things that others feel they have to compete for.

Anything involving an Art/Music snob. There's just no way to reason with them, that some songs or peices of art don't have to be significant or have great artistic merits to be enjoyed. Just makes me so annoyed to have a conversation with someone who doesn't understand that for some people it is about enjoyment and how you personally relate to it, rather than whether or not the technique is perfect.

I am 21 and have been dating the same guy for 3 years. I always get in the same conversation, people always ask when I am going to marry him!? I hate it because they do it in a joking manner and it's just irritating... I am completely in love with him and we're going to get engaged someday but when people ask, they always act as if they are joking so I can't give them a real answer. I'm so sick of that question.

I have social stress affliction. I evade maximum conversations because I envision the worst situation in spite of the problem.. that's thoroughly irrational, and that i'm particularly attentive to it yet my mind sends off alerts that throw my panic button in over force. i'm particularly tender with maximum conversations with people i comprehend although that, to the point of them attempting to evade the communication. the absolutely time i rather attempt to evade a communication with people i comprehend is at the same time as i think that it can cause them to experience uncomfortable.. Or in the experience that they could thoroughly hate me for stating my real emotions, such is the clarification I and anybody contains secrets and techniques.

It's not so much a topic but when I am talking to someone about a certain subject and it's there turn to talk and they instantly start talking about themselves or what they want to talk about blowing off the subject at hand.

I refuse to make any comments about my step children. They're Grandma believes I am against them. The truth is, they are against me about the way I raised them while their Mom was incarcerated. They hold grudges a long time.
