I'm not on it anymore but I was on ortho tricyclen lo for 5 years. It did not make me gain any weight, and it really did help clear up my skin. It worked very well.

I'm on Necon... I was on Yasmin for awhile. I think it has made me gain wait... but I also started college around the time I started the pill, and everyone gains weight in college. Neither one of the two have done much for my period. I get really bad cramps and bleed alot w/blood clots and it lasts for days... I'm going to the gyno next month and asking for a new kind!

My skin has always been pretty clear... the only time I get acne is when I have my period actually. But I've heard ortho tricyclen is FDA approved as a way to treat acne... that could just be something I heard and not true. I think I'm going to try that kind next.

i did gain weight but i do not know if it was due to the pill or not. ive packed on about 10 lbs. who cares if you gain some weight. it is an inverse side effect of the pill. the pill has a tendency to increase or decrease your appetite, so if you have an increased appetie of course you will eat more and gain weight... so it is an inverse relationshp to the pill, even says so in the pamplet.

i have been on seasonale for 2 years. it is the pill that gives you 4 periods a year, 3 periods a month. it is nice. they are just liek normal periods. they arent heavy and feel liek your goign to keel over from the cramps. they are normal. i dont have acne so i cant say if it cleared up my skin or not. but when my period is due i get a few pimples here and there just cause of the hormones going whack and what not. lol

you should talk to your gyno.obgyn to see what pill is best for you to clear up your skin. but should not worry abotu the weight you may out on....

Right now I am taking Aviane, the generic of Alesse, a low-dose pill.

The pills have never effected my skin. It has always been the same. It's in good shape, but I break out when my period comes.

I have not gained weight from taking the pill.

I have been on the Pill for thirteen years, but not all the same brand nor the same strength (started with the strongest, then went to lowest dose).

The pill usually doesn't clear your skin up on its own. You will need some additional treatment.
