Why is it only the Catholic church is being centered for child molestation?

That is not true check your sources, they may be getting more publicity but there have been Lutheran ministers and Baptists, Mormons, Jews, Protestants.etc., they have given those instances very little publicity at all. Remembering the Baptist fellow he had gone with a 15 year old and yet she was a willing subject. He was still prosecuted. Teachers men and women who are just teachers are being publicized just as much. Jim Baker the minister and leader of the Born Again Christians was caught in his hot tub with men doing sexual acts. Foley the recent news broadcasted how one of our leading men in our Government was caught soliciting a young male for sex on the Internet. Child molesting is a real crime. It does not matter whether they are willing, that is why they are children, it is still a crime. Any adult should know better than to succumb to the whims of a teenage girl or boy that may be experimenting with their sexualty which is normal but it is up to the adults to know this and set them straight on that issue. The Catholics must weed out their problems and unless they do we will be continuing to check them all the time.
But all and all I do believe there is an outside force that is just waiting for the chance to tear down the Catholic Faith and that will lead to all the Christians as well as Jews. Actually some people proclaim that revelations is in process and that religion and governments will fall soon. Maybe? Maybe not?
I don't need a church to believe and pray and I have my bible. So if we are all alone and praying G-D still hears us everywhere.

2. It is incredibly naive to think that one organized religion is the source of pedophilia. Catholic church got caught in a cover-up.

3. Pedophiles are not real priests, scout masters, or the friendly man next door. Those are all roles they play to acquire children and fool the adults around them from finding out their hobby. They are criminals — murderous criminals that kill a child's innocence & justify it to themselves.

4. Pedophiles go wherever children are. Some of the most unsupervised, unsafe places for children are the home, neighbors, friends of the family, playgrounds, parks, schools, churches, malls, amusement parks, scouts, camps, sleep-overs, adults who seem to be more comfortable & friendly with children, than people their own age. You can probably think of some places.

5. These are places that should have high definition cameras monitoring these areas. Also, in the classroom.

6. Point is, always have another set of eyes watching the children so that they are not hurt.

Because they finally got caught up with its nothing new they have been rapeing women and molesting boys and girls for centuries they even use to mulitilate little boys to make their voices stay high the last 'castrado" died in 1969and this doesnt even include the savage tortureof innocent people during the spanish inquisitions and other crimes against humanity and God see Rev 18:1-4 and so much more i could list but I haven a lifetime to compile the list its that long Gorbalizer

This may have something to do with the fact that Catholic Priests are not allowed to marry and abstinence isn't that easy to live with. There is also the problem that sometimes Christian gay men join the priesthood thinking that this will shield them from there desires but alas no. I think young boys then become an easier target for these desires and they are more likely to get away with it because the children are too ashamed and scared to tell.

That does seem like it is that way but really in local towns on local news channels here in NY, I do hear of Baptist, Methodist, etc; Pastors also being found guilty of molesting children. I don't think this horrible act is a religious thing at all, it happens in every town, w/ professions of all kinds and worst in families! So sad...pray for all the victims that the abuse stops and they heal.

because baptists ministers can get married and have children and raise a family. Like everyone should. Because statistically, each time there's a problem with that it turns out to be a catholic priest.

but people shouldnt be prejudice against catholics.

but there has always been some tension between christians and catholics for some reason while the whole time GOD is up there probably goin crazy saying we should all be nice to each other.

Are Catholic priests allowed to marry? For some reason I thought not. If that's true, maybe thats the answer because Baptist preachers are allowed to marry.

They aren't seen as having as much wealth, all you have to do is accuse them and wait for a settlement. True there is something very wrong as the ones within it who are guilty couldn't harm the church more if they burnt down their own churches and cathedrals, but it's turned into a witch hunt by people looking for profit or in the case of Mark Foley, an excuse for his own misdeeds later in life.

In my opinion, the prevalence of sexual abuse from Catholic priests is directly tied to their vows of celibacy. They're men with no sexual release, and it effects their pathology.
