i am so discouraged!
i dont know what to look for in a college...so basically i made a list of 5 colleges around here, and my parents dont help me with choosing colleges.
i dont know what to do...deadlines are approaching and im wondering if im choosing enough challenging schools.
my parents are kind of telling me to stray away from the expensive schools but those are the kinds of schools i want to go to!
im so...idk...im just tired with this crap.
any advice?

I had the same problem. Apply to a number of schools. From those that accept you, pick the one with the best reputation and/or the greatest variety of majors. Once you get there, take many different classes to figure out what you like.

Staying away from the very expensive schools is a good idea, unless you have a career in mind and only the expensive ones offer the right major.

Speak to your school's guidance or college counselor for extra help.

Good luck!

Talk to your school's guidance officer. She/he should be able to suggest a couple. Most parents don't help. the student should do it, it is her/his life. If you have a list of 5, I would think that is plenty. My son only applied to 2. What you look for mainly is what the school has to offer, is it in the field you want to work in after college? Do you want a large or smaller college. Like I said, go to the guidance office.

Seek the advive of a career counsellor. You need to be realistic about your options because your parents have the final say moneywise. Get a list of the ones your parents canafford and tell your parents you need their help.
