do you think that like movie actors could talk to the director or what ever and talk to him about giving you like sunday off because i have church on sunday but also want to do acting. and saturday to have off with my wife. so you think i could talk to the director about days off?

Always ask for what you want. You can certainly try negotiating it into your contract. Be prepared for them to say no, however, and know what you're going to do in that case. Film is often shot on a very tight schedule - the more days they shoot, the more expensive it is, so they want you to be as available to them as possible.

If you are Union, then you are entitled to a certain amount of time off within a working week. The production company will be fined heavily if they don't observe days off for actors and crew.

It all depends on what sort of movie. Is it a indy movie or a big shot flick. Sometimes an indie director will if it is not a really big production.
