nothing to do with health) today me and 2 friends walked home from school(my first time)and (about 1.5 miles) and i didn't see if it was ok. so by the time i got home 1 hour and 30 min later my mom called a bunch of ppl and was worried and crying! so i made up this story that the bus waz having problems and went back to school. i said another bus was coming to pick me and my friend up and took me to their house. from there (down the street a little) i walked home. and that was that. my mom was relieved and she called all the ppl back and i found out that she called my bus driver and left a message saying that i told her the story how the bus broke down!! (the bus didn't really break down) so the bus driver called back and i sayed my mom was busy. so i really don't know what to do. should i tell my mom the truth orkeep going with the lie.

my mom also has a work party this weekend andi am going with her but if she finds out i lied i won't get to go!!!

You need to be honest. You shouldn't lie as you can see it will bite you in the butt down the road. Be honest and she will respect you in the future. She, of course, will be upset at you. You will have to pay the consequences for your actions. Next time, call your mother before you decide to do anything that would worry her and ask permission. This is a small price to pay for what bigger things that could have happened. She sounds like she really loves you. Show her some respect and tell her the truth.

You didn't say how old you are but your two friends and you walking home a mile and a half sounds like a healthy, safe (unless there are things you didn't mention), fun thing to do. Does your mother worry too much and over shelter you in a lot of other ways too ? Sometimes kids start slipping around to get to have 'normal' lives and it hurts the mother/child bond. Your mother may need to talk to your friends' mothers or your school counselor to get a more realistic idea of your needs and to not over-worry. This can help you to be honest and open together.

Tell her the truth and tell her why you lied. Then ask for understanding that you will not do that again. The bus driver can get in trouble and your mother will not trust you if she found out too late that you lied.

well i would say you have to tell the truth either before or after but maybe you should choose before the party because your mom will know that you are telling the truth after that story. She will understand and its only your friends who went with you right? Nothing bad happend to you you should tell her i just needed "excercise" :D dont worry if you told her after then that must be bad becuase what if theres another party bigger than that.
well GL

Tell the Truth, you wouldn't be in this mess if you wouldn't have lied in the first place. And if you lie again your just gonna get into even more of a mess. So just tell her the Truth. I'm not gonna lie she will most likely get mad. so just tell her, I know it's hard. But just next time don't lie....

Tell the truth, and get it over with...you might have to face consequences for lying now, but better than living with the lies later.

this is a lesson in honesty. you put your mom in a bad situation. tell the truth. if you cannot go to the party that is the consequences of your actions and you will learn to not lie

You're gonna get caught anyway, trust me. So it's better if you tell the truth, at least she won't find out later. Accept the consequences of your actions if you get grounded.

It will be better if she hears the truth from you. I would tell her and then take your punishment like a big girl. Maybe you'll be lucky and she'll just give you a warning this time, since you fessed up. Good luck.
