Part 1
Race is still a problem because there is victim mentality all over the place. It is a big business. Look at Farakhan, Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson. It is used as an excuse to blame others for their problems. The same attitude is seen in feminists, etc. You also see it with the slip and fall, ambulance chaser lawyers. There is always someone to sue and blame for every ill.
Part 2
The race baiting is big business. The baitors do not care about the groups that they serve.
The best way to get rid of the race baiting is to eliminate government control. Politicians use welfare and other giveaways to control poor people. If you teach people to be self-reliant, this garbage goes away. If only Republicans got their act together.

It is the PC people keeping this flame alive. Whenever there is a racial faux pas it gets blown up to mega out of whack proportions. I also heard an interesting argument that racism is big business. With certain black leaders *cough*sharptonjackson*cough* saying they can accept apologies if the offender makes a donation to their charities. (Just heard this one today, haven't researched it yet, just throwing it out there)
I'm from the south and to say that the races get along down here is a stretch, however you do not hear of the racial problems down here you have in NY or LA. Me personally, I think it is because we are a lot more candid down here.
The race problem is a problem because people allow it to be. If the righteous indignation stopped a lot of the problems reported would also stop. There is racism today but tolerence is getting better. You don't change hundreds of years of thinking over night.

Personally, I hear more racially devisive speech from the black community than I hear from the white community.
I certainly don't hate people because of the color of their skin, and I have ministered in places where the majority of people were black, but sometimes I do hate what I see many blacks doing these days.
Some whites are still bigots, but I am not sure that I know any of them. They certainly don't show it around me.
I live in an area where there are a lot of Arab or Indian people, but most of them are very polite and cause no trouble, but watch the TV and see what many of them are doing in other countries.
There is no solution other than to change peoples hearts one heart at a time. No law can change a persons way of looking at others.

people are still stuck in the past. people can't let go of what hapened in the past so they are outraged in the present. i don't know exactly who the instigators are but i know if you offend a black person.... its a BIG thing.... the N word should NEVER be used: black or white people shouldn't say it!!!!! we could get over this race problem if we don't make the situation worse than it already is... if someone gets offended.... apologize.... forgive and let it go! but its easier said than done right???...

Its the ones that keep yelling "we are oppressed" that cant give it up. (IM actually going to defend Quanel X here, I cant believe it) he has stated on occasions that the minority masses have to realize that sometimes you have to fend for your self. granted he is in the group doing the yelling alittle but the fact is the majority has let it go why cant the minority?

I havent been informed of such a 'race problem'. Noone fuels any arguments, we already got over ourselves in the 80s.

As long as there are people whose careers are based on racial antagonism, we won't get passed race issues in this country.
