me & my family are trying to decide where to vacation this summer. We live in illinois. Wheres the best place to vacation where theres not alot of people at or anything. We went to the beaches in michigan on lake Michigan last year & they were packed. so Any suggestions. Needs to be surrounding states such as (Wis,Indiana,Michigan,Missouri, etc.) Thanks so much.

We vacation in the Springfield, Chatham area...We stay at the Renaissance or the Baymont and have a nice, peaceful, quiet time. Or go buy the book Weird Illinois and visit some of those ookie spots! We're going to do that on our trip out there this spring!

Rent a house in Culver Indiana. Very quaint small town with a large spring fed lake. Plenty of summertime activities and very good restaurants. Just 2 hours from Chicago. To rent a house, visit http://www.rentculver.com
