PS3. If you said Wii or PS3 I would say something alone the lines of it depends on what you like more. because wii and the PS3/360 are very different.

But the Xbox360 and PS3 game wise are very close each having a few of there own games. PS3 rages over the 360 sadly this being confirmed official due to the fact that I went to both websites and read my *** off. PS3 can browse the internet!

The only argument the 360 can make is it may have better internet play "may".... and they can say that they might have more better exclusive titles but everyone likes there own stuff. When it comes down to the hardware not software and games PS3 wins hands down.

jorluke <---- We all got computers duh of course they are the best I got myself a $6500 PC but consoles offer things you cannot get on the PC.

Resident evil 5 , Zelda twilight princess , armored core 4 , Final Fantasy 12 , 13 and at least 50 more games. You need consoles and a PC to be a gamer not one or the other.

HiddenLee <---- No sorry but if you want I will sleep with you... lol

The Xbox 360 is $300-$400. The PS3, however, is $500-$600.

Although you might think the PS3 is way better since it is newer and more expensive, the Xbox 360 has about the same power for gaming.

What makes the PS3 $200 more is that it has a "Blue ray" DVD player built into it. Blue ray players usually sell for $1000 by themselves, so if you want a Blue ray player definitely get the PS3.

But, the Xbox has just come out with a "HD DVD" player add-on to there Xbox, so for $200 extra you can have an Xbox with a high-def. player also.

Although you'll here tons of differing opinions on this, Xbox has shown it's graphics to be about the same as the PS3's. They both have way to much power for games these days anyways, so it will be a while (if ever) before game-makers can use all the resources of either system.

It's difficult to tell who will have more games; right now there's a pile of games out for the Xbox (because of it's 1 year start on the PS3) and only a few for the PS3. But that will probably change pretty soon.

So, Although the Xbox may not be any better, it is still very comparable with the PS3, $200 cheaper, and (right now) has tons more games out for it.

Also, I here that though you have to pay a bit for it, Xbox live is far better than the comparable PS3 alternative.

If you're looking for variety in games then the 360 is your only option. PS3 only has a few games out that have received decent ratings.

Of course the PS3 *does* come w/ Blu Ray. But for $200 you can get HD-DVD for the 360 (which gives the same price to both systems at $600).

I just got a 360 a couple of weeks ago. I didn't want to wait a long time for the games on PS3. The 360 already has a very strong user base. It just worked out well for me.

I probably will wind up buying a Wii as well :-)

To clear up some misleading info.

1. You do NOT need an adapter to play PSX/PS2 games. The PS3 can play PSX/PS2 games right out of the box. The PS3 has the hardware emu built in to play those games. But that doesn't necessarily mean that the PS3 will play all PSX/PS2 games. Currently, there are 200 games that's not playable, and 8000 games that aren't working properly, such as audio or in game details not working properly, on the PS3. You only need the adapter if you want to transfer your PSX/PS2 games to your PS3.

2. The average PS3 and 360 games will retail for $59.99, so 360 games are not cheaper than PS3 games. Last time I check, 59.99 = 59.99.

3. There are no more violent games on the PS3 than there are on the 360. Resistance: Fall of Man is just as violent as Gears of War or Halo 3.

4. Sony and MS will have their fair share of different genres of games. Sony will most likely have more RPGs since it's based in Japan, and most Japanese gamers prefer RPGs. MS will most likely have more FPS since it's based in the US, and American gamers prefer FPS.

Which system is better?

Right now, the 360 because it has more games, and those games are 2nd generation, meaning they look better because programmers have had more time to take advantage of the 360's architecture.

In the future, the PS3. I think Blu-ray is Sony's trump card. I think more developers will want to use Blu-ray because it holds more info, so they can make bigger and better games. Tomonobu Itagaki, one of MS's biggest supporter, is already complaining that DVD-9 isn't big enough for what he wants to do. Blue Dragon is rumored to be 3 disks long.

PS3 is what gamepro and gameinformer are saying (and myself =P) camped outside 2 days for it hehe <3 teh uber awesome system; much better than the 360 to me anyway. But Im an RPG person; if your more first-person shooter then i actually think the 360 is more your style.

I would go with PS3 but with that you spend $600 no game comes with it and you have to buy an adaptor in order to play PS2 and PSone games because the new games don't use memory cards.
