Similarities -- You should work hard on your studies; you should try to get involved in extracurricular activities/sports; you should try to meet and enjoy new (and old) friends

Differences -- The level of work will increase in college; you will be more independent in college and will have to manage your time on your own; you will be faced with many more difficult decisions as a college student (drugs, sex, drinking, hazing, etc.) and must keep your wits about you; likely, you'll live away from home for the first time. If you went to public high school, college will cost money vs. high school. You will get involved with the career counseling department in college. You will have more courses to select from and will be able to focus more on what you want to take vs. what you have to take (in college.)

Does that help?
