Ok, here's the situation. I am 10 weeks 2 days pregnant today. I have slept with 2 guys before I found out I was pregnant. 1 is my boyfriend that I have sex with all the time, and we never have protected sex, and he never pulls out. Me and my boyfriend got into a fight and I ended up sleeping with my best friend.(sigh) I'm not a slut, and I never sleep around like this. The thing is ..my best friend never did come b/c I told him I couldn't do this, it made me feel bad. (I felt guilty) So we never got to finish. Although I know there is such thing as pre-come.. it makes me really confused only because I counted exactly 10 weeks 2 days from todays date and it dates back to Sept 15. I called my doctor because I was worried about it. I was lucky to already have an ultra sound done 2 weeks ago b/c I wasn't sure of my last period. So going by my due date which is June 24th..the nurse told me I concieved on the 2nd of Oct. Why am I counting back to Sept 15th?? HELP ME PLEASE

Your 40 week pregnancy actually begins on the first day of your last period. THis means that the day you conceive, you are actually considered to be 14 days along (assuming you conceived on your ovulation day). These are just approximates and everyone is different. For example, my last period was Oct 26/05 and I concenved on Nov 7/05- My baby was due 40 weeks from Oct. 26/05.

Congratulations!

I dont know how your figuring Sept 15th, but October 2nd is right if you are 10 weeks and 2 days. That was the time you ovulated. September 15th would have been around the time of your last period. Good Luck

The nurse is correct in saying Oct 2. When the doctor says you are 10 weeks 2 days pregnant, they are counting back to your last menstrual period. However, most women ovulate two weeks after their period and this is when conception takes place. Therefore, your last period was on or around Sept 15 and you ovulated Oct 2, making conception on or around Oct. 2.

First off, when was the first day of your last period? That's usually how they date your pregnancy. She may have given you your gestational age, which dates to the 1st day of your last period, then told you when the baby was actually conceived, which would have happened anytime in the cycle beginning on the first day of your last period. And since most women ovulate halfway thru their menstrual cycles, then your conception date would have been around Oct. 2, 14 days after Sept 15...

because the gestational age is 9 weeks and three days your theory date might want to be 8.5 weeks in the past (supply or take some days). at the same time as they bypass through your LMP on my own that is at the same time as its off through some weeks. Gestational age is truly from the time of implantation at the same time as your infant began to strengthen:) because sperm can stay as a lot as 4 days waiting for that egg then it would want to take 6-12 days for the baby to commute up the fallopian tube and implant on your uterine lining. theory is at the same time as the sperm first meets the egg so figure that is about 6 days earlier to the implantation. Congrats!! best of success and reward :)

Too confusing for me. But if you need another "friend" I'm snipped so there will be less confusion.
