I recently took a fly across country. Everything went fine. I was 4 months prego. You should make sure you take your preventative mesures though. I did get the travle bug, or whatever they call it it is where you get sick, usually a sinus infection shortly after your trip. My husband, my 1 year old child and I all got sick with nasty sinus infectoins that also had ears involved. Becasue you are pregnant i would check with your doc before departing, also ask him(or her) for tips on safe meds you can take to help keep colds away, and other things you may need to know. USE PUREL!! That sanitzing stuff is a life savor, rememebr to keep it in your checked bag and use it as soon as you get your luggage back, also use hot soapy water every time you can!!! Steralizing moist towletts may be allowed in cary on, not sure, but would be handy to wipe down your hads every once in a while to keep germs away. Air germs are the worse, so vitamin C in small doses may help to keep your immune system strong while you travle(gets docs advice on doses). Also lots of water, and high protien food like airline penuts. Good luck and happy travles!!!

Unless you have a high risk pregnancy, going on a plane should be okay at 3 months. They usually don't recommend it when you're in your third trimester though so if you go somewhere by plane, you can do it till you get to 7 months pregnant.

Yep- I went on a plane when I was 5 months to Punta Cana and it was okay. A window seat is good for nausa and I told them I was pregnant and they let me use the washrooms in first class (all those frequent trips) It is during the later months that it is not recommended.

In most cases, it is as safe as getting on a plane not being pregnant. Most problems pregnant ladies have on a plane is non-child related. (This is refering to planes that were pressurized for your comfort.)

Alot of times Airlines dont want VERY VERY pregnant ladies on the planes. My thought is in case they have water breakage or give birth mid-air.

If you have concerns you should defiantly talk with your Dr. However, I have never heard of it being harmful to you baby to travel. The first three months are very critical because the the uterus can separate from the cervix so whether you travel or not you could have problems. Good luck you should be fine

yes you can fly in early pregnancy. ask your doctor though as you may be carrying differently than other women at 3 months and some doctors may say no to it past 5- 6 months.

yes. it only becomes a problem later in your pregnancy, although my mother was able to get on a plane when she was 9 months pregnant with my brother to attend a funeral. but she had to talk to her dr. first.
