I don't think it matters. They just call it blush because of the color and where it goes. A lot of people use their makeup in areas different from what it's supposed to be used on. They even make makeup for more than one area of the face. :)

Just make sure the pigment in it isn't bad for your eyes. There are a few reds that are very harmful if they get into your eyes, which all eye makeup will do. A lot of companies make multi purpose cosmetics that can go anywhere, so it's not always a bad thing to do. You've just got to be careful. If you're really concerned, you could ask an eye doctor. They'd be able to spot any ingredients that are eye irritants right away. The girl at the counter might not know.

I think it's fine, but to make sure I would ask the people working at the Clinique counter. Some thinks meant for other parts of your face don't work on other areas. You can use anything you use on your eyes on other places, but you can't use too many things that you can use on other parts of your face on your eyes.

No, that's not necessarily bad. One of my friends does it. It of course had to be the right shade though. She uses a peach blush, and it made a good eyeshadow. For her light complexion, blonde hair, and blue eyes a shade that was too pink or rosy could've given her eyes a sick, pink, puffy look. Be careful of what color you use.

it could be.. some makeup companies recommend that you not use some shades near your eye area, especially if it was originally intended for your face.. i know MAC says that you shouldn't use some of their darker red blushes on your eyelids..
i'd say the best thing you can do is ask someone at the clinique counter...

if its from clinique then its fine. iman the beautiful model who has her own cosmetics said she uses stick blush as eyeshadow, lip color, and cheek color. try a stick blush from her cosmetics or shisedo stick blush.

I read from magazines that some blushers are not suitable as eyeshadows as it contains ingrediants that might irritate the eyes. However, eyeshadows can be used as blushers

What ever you put on your skin get's absorbed into your body. Look into natural, plant based make-up so you don't have to worry.
